Transport & Economy Data Summit
We hosted a day devoted to talking about transport and economy data and how we could use it to explore future solutions.
We hosted 4 workshops across England, giving local authorities, bus operators, and others the chance to input to the open consultation of the Bus Services Act 2017.
Working with DfT, we hosted a series of events across the country to bring together the open data and transport community to look at the Bus Services Act.
Working with Transport for the North, TravelHack was a transport data hackathon where participants worked to find and fix the challenges facing the North.
After the success of TravelHack, a 'sequel' event was held to tackle a very specific challenge - fares data. How do we make it easier for operators and passengers alike.
Highways England approached us with an amazing amount of data and wanted to see who would use it, and how, to help tackle challenges like roadworks and congestion.
A tool that uses available bus and economic/social data to show how improvements to bus routes could be better for jobs and the economy.

Prototyped at one of the first ODI Leeds hackathons, Hack My Route is a crowd-sourced map of cycle routes and more.
